[DKSF 707.1] Page LOG web interface

The page displays «LogFile» of a device operation. All events of a device are recorded into «LogFile» in a chronological order.

A device has a nonvolatile clock (RTC). Time tags in «LogFile» correspond to indications of this clock. If an NTP server address is specified in a parameters of a device, then a device will try to get an exact time right after turning a power supply on.If a received time value while synchronization is different from the one on an internal clock of a device for more than 5 minutes, a clock will be reset with a corresponding record into LogFile. If an internal time is different from an exact time for less than 5 minutes, then a device will try to adjust clock pace to a precise time without laps backward or forward in time tags of events.
In addition, RTC can be configured manually on the page "Settings".

General Events

Start of operation (reboot) – is recorded into a logfile when a device is turned on

A clock reset – is recorded into a logfile if a time received from NTP is different from time of internal clock of a device for more than 5 minutes. The message is given in 2 lines: the first line has a time tag before resetting an internal clock and the second time tag appears right after a reset.

Syslog Support

All messages in «Logfile» are duplicated by sending messages via a Syslog protocol, if a device configuration on the page of a web interface «Settings» has specified Syslog server addresses.

A syslog-server is convenient to use for centralized gathering of messages about events that take place at numerous devices and computers that work in a network, particularly about events on devices.
