[ENG] 14.3. [DKSF 70/71.6 IU] Configuring Thermo (Hygro) Stat

To configure a thermo (hygro) stat, there is a need to go to the page «LOGIC» of a device web interface:

Configuring a thermostat in a UniPing server solution v3SMS device

In the section «Thermo(Hygro)stat», parameters of a thermostat are configured.

Thermo(hygro)stat is used to maintain a constant temperature or a relative humidity of the air. Besides programmed thermo(hygro)stat, there is also a need to set a minimum of two rules: the first rule for switching on a cooler or a heater, and the second one for switching it off. It is possible to configure no more than two channels of thermo(hygro)stat – «TSTAT 1», «TSTAT 2». A corresponding thermo(hygro)stat is chosen as an information source («input») in the logic rules.

Sensor  is a number of a temperature sensor or a humidity sensor, with which a thermo(hygro)stat works. It is possible to plug up to eight temperature sensors and up to four relative humidity sensors to a device. On default: for temperature 1

Current value, deg.C or % rel.hum.  is a reading os a temperature or humidity sensor in the current moment of time.

Threshold, deg.С or % rel.hum. – is a temperature or humidity value that is maintained by the thermo(hygro)stat (in whole degrees Celsius, a value can be negative). On default: 20

Hysteresis, 1..8 deg.С or % rel.hum. – a hysteresis sets a «dead zone» near specified temperature or humidity, within the thresholds of which a thermo(hygro)stat does not react to fluctuations. This feature allows avoiding frequent random switching, for example, a heater (a cooler) caused by natural spontaneous fluctuations of temperature or relative humidity. If a current status of a thermo(hygro)stat is «above (threshold M)», then a threshold for switching a status is a specified temperature or relative humidity, decreased on the hysteresis value. And vice versa, if a current status is «below (threshold M)», then a switching threshold is specified temperature or relative humidity, increased on the hysteresis value. As soon as temperature or relative humidity reaches the threshold value (taking a hysteresis into account) when rising or falling, and thus leaves the thresholds of the «corridor», a status of the thermo(hygro)stat is changed to an opposite one. On default: 2

Graph hysteresis in NetPing devices.

Status – is a status of channels of the thermo(hygro)stat «TSTAT 1», «TSTAT 2». It can take the next values: «sensor failed», «above (threshold M)», «below (threshold M)».

After setting the parameters, there is a need to click the button «Apply changes».

After configuring a thermo(hygro)stat, there is a need to configure a rule in the module «Logic». It is possible to learn how to do this from the section «[ENG] 14.2. [DKSF 70/71.6 IU] How to Use the Module «Logic»?».
