[ENG] 11.5. [DKSF 70/71.5 IU] Receiving SMS Notifications about Previously Specified Events

To configure SMS notifications on previously specified events, there is a need to go to the page «SMS» of a device web interface:

In the section «SMS Notifications», it is possible to configure:

Ethernet link status change – in the firmware version DKSF 70/71.5.X this setting is disabled. We recommend using «Pinger status change» instead of this setting.

Watchdog events – if a relay is managed by the module «Watchdog», an SMS notification will be sent to cell phone numbers, indicated in the section «GSM Setup» at the page «SMS» of a device web interface, when a relay status is changed. 

Pinger status change – when a connection with a checked host in the network is lost or restored, an SMS notification will be sent to phone numbers, specified in the section «GSM Setup» at the page «SMS» of a device web interface. In the section «Pnger» at the page «SMS» it is possible to configure an address for testing availability of a network node via IP address in the field «Address to poll with ping» and a polling period in the field «Polling period, s (30-9999)»:

Parameters of operation of the module «Pinger» at the page «SMS» are as follows:

1. Polling of a specified IP address begins once in an indicated period of time (parameter «Period, s (30-9999)»);
2. Period of waiting for a response from an IP address is 2 seconds;
3. A number of repeats of polling an IP address 8;
4. If there is no response from a tested host after 8 repeats, «Pinger» informs that a connection with an indicated IP address is lost;
5. If during the next polling period a tested host responds, «Pinger» informs that a connection with an indicated IP address is restored.
