[ENG] 3.12. [DKSF 54.2 IU] Log of a Device

The page «LOG» of a web interface represents the operation of a device. Events of a device are registered in the log in a chronological order. All notifications of the log are duplicated via the SYSLOG protocol if an IP address of the SYSLOG server is specified in the settings.

A system log is located in a nonvolatile memory. All notifications are recorded round, i.e. the oldest notification in the log is overwritten by a new one.

The first time tag in the log is 01.01.70 Mon 00:00: 00.UTC. If an IP address of an NTP server is indicated in the settings of a device, a device will try to get a precise time, and if successful, it will synchronize its internal clock with a precise time. After a time synchronization, two records will appear in the log that will represent a time jump when resetting the clock to a precise time. If the time received when synchronizing with an NTP server is different from the time of the internal clock for less than 5 minutes, the clock will not be reset. A pace of the internal clock will be changed in the way to fit the internal time with a precise time received from an NTP server in a certain time. Thanks to this, there is no time jumps in the list of events in the log, which simplifies its analysis.
