To set a description for an input line, there is a need to go to the page «INPUTS» of a device web interface:

Descriptions for input lines are set in the field «Memo».

Memo – is a field for setting a brief description of input lines. A memo is used in notifications from SYSLOG and log, and in included into SNMP TRAP, SMS, e-mail notifications, e-mail reports about a status of sensors. A maximum size is 30 characters. On default: empty line
