[ENG] 10.3. [DKSF 54.2 IU] Configuring a Thermostat

To configure a thermostat, there is a need to go to the page «LOGIC» of a device web interface:

In the section «Thermo(Hygro)Stat» parameters of a thermostat are configured.

A thermostat is used to maintain a constant temperature. Besides a programmed thermostat, there is a need to set a minimum of two rules: the first one for switching on a heater or a cooler and the second one for switching it off. It is possible to configure no more than two thermostat channels – «TSTAT 1», «TSTAT 2». A corresponding thermostat is chosen as an information source (input) in logic rules, which control a heater or a cooler.

Sensor  is a number of a sensor, with which a thermostat works. It is possible to choose any temperature sensor out of eight temperature sensors and one sensor of a relative humidity. On default: 1

Current value, deg.C or % rel. hum.  is a value of a sensor in a current moment of time.

Threshold, deg.С or % rel.hum.  is a temperature or values of a relative humidity, which are supported by a thermostat (whole degrees of Celcius, a value can be negative). On default: 20

Hysteresis, 1..8 deg.С or % rel.hum. – a hysteresis sets a «dead zone» around a specified temperature or relative humidity, within which a thermostat does not respond to fluctuations. This function allows avoiding frequent random switching of a heater (a cooler) caused by natural spontaneous fluctuations of temperature or relative humidity. If a current status of a thermostat is «above (threshold M)», then a threshold for switching a status is a specified temperature or relative humidity, minus a hysteresis value. And vice versa, if a current status is «below (threshold M)», then a threshold for switching a status is a specified temperature or a relative humidity, plus a hysteresis value. As soon as a temperature or a relative humidity reaches a threshold value (including a hysteresis value), while rising or falling, and thus leaves the thresholds of a «corridor», then a status of a thermostat is changed to an opposite one. On default: 2

Status – is a status of thermostat channels «TSTAT 1», «TSTAT 2». It can have the values: «-», «sensor failed», «above (threshold M)», «below (threshold M)».

After setting the values, there is a need to click the button «Apply changes».

After configuring a thermo(Hygro)stat, there is a need to configure a rule in the module «Logic». How to do this, you know from the section «[ENG] 10.2. [DKSF 54.2 IU] How to Use the Module «Logic»?».
